Ability Plus, Inc. Plans Day Habilitation for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Huntsville, AL – June 17, 2011 -- Ability Plus a provider of supportive housing for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in North Alabama, announced their plans to open a Day Habilitation and training center that will serve people with special needs in Madison and surrounding communities. The Center will provide a place to learn social, physical, recreational, vocational, and instructional activities that are innovative, enriching, and designed to promote opportunity, inclusion, and the development of essential life skills and activities of daily living.

“Ability Plus’ goal is to provide individuals with disabilities, of all levels, an opportunity to learn and practice life skills that will enrich their lives and provide every opportunity to prosper with as much independent living as possible”, said Keith Bedsole, Executive Director.

The Ability Plus Day Habilitation program will be located at 1040 Research Boulevard in Madison and is scheduled to open mid-August. The Center will provide year-round services Monday through Friday.

Ability Plus is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that offers homes, education, socialization, and a better quality of life to individuals with special needs.
